"Top 100"

   The Georgia Dugout Club will once again sponsor the Georgia Underclassman Showcase. The Underclassman Showcase is for players that will enter the 10th, 11th and 12th grade for the 2012-2013 school year.

Since its inception the Georgia Underclassman Showcase has attracted 85 schools and organizations. Many of these schools and organizations come each year. Early indications show that these numbers will increase based on the feedback we received from college coaches and professional scouts across the southeast.

All sites will be staffed by the showcase committee. Therefore, it is only necessary to attend one of the listed locations. From the sites listed, the Top 120 Juniors & Seniors along with the Top 40 Sophomores will be chosen to participate in the final Event.

We encourage you to register online to help us better service the scouts that attend these events. Registering online will also allow you to have an online profile for scouts to view. On site registration will be allowed starting at 8:30 on the day of the showcase.

The cost to participate in one of these events will be $100 if you register online. This is non-refundable. On site registration will be $110 and all checks should be made out to the Georgia Dugout Club.

• 3:00-4:30 Game 2

Scout Committee: Hugh Buchanan (Atlanta Braves) has put together acore group of pro and college scouts to do all evaluations this year.These evaluations will be a useful tool for each player when it comes timefor the recruiting process. Also the committee will select the Top 120 Juniors/ Seniors along with the Top 40 Sophomores from all regional events.

Sophomores (2015’s): Colleges are committing players earlier and earlier. Therefore, the Top 40 Sophomores will be chosen from the Regional Workouts and invited to Atlanta for the Final Underclassman Event. The Top 40 will do a Pro Style workout for the Scouts and compete against the Top Sophomores in Alabama.

Juniors and Seniors: (2013’s/ 2014’s): In 2012 the Underclassman Event will increase to 120 Jr’s and Sr’s that are invited back to Atlanta. We simply have had too many good players that have not been invited back that go on to play at the college level. Brining back 120 Jr’s/ Sr’s and separating the sophomores will give more players the opportunity to showcase their skills.

Player Profiles: Each player that participates in the Georgia Underclassman Event will have an online player profile that houses the players Contact Information, Academic Information, Transcript, Game Schedule, Athletic Information, Highlight Video, Season by Season Statistics and their Georgia Underclassman Evaluation which is done by the Pro Scout Committee. Also players will have access to hundreds of coaches in the College Database to send out their Profile.
